Winter Weather Warnings in the US Mid West
Image: NOAA (Click on image for larger view.)
This developing low pressure system is expected to spread snow from across northeast New Mexico into Kansas from Monday into Tuesday with possible blizzard conditions. Areas of the country on the northern edge of the low will encounter a strong pressure gradient, manifesting in gusty winds, blowing snow and poor visibility. There is warm air ahead of the low so a slight risk of severe thunderstorms is forecast to move from southeastern Texas today into the lower Mississippi Valley on Tuesday.
