Norwegian Storms - Radio Hams on Standy

The emergency communications group of NRRL are on standby (Dec.27) because of storms that hit the south of the country.

A communications network was established on 3720 MHz (+/- QRM) every three hours between 0900-2400 Norweigian Time (GMT+1).

No formal request to assist has yet been received from the authorities but the standby net is being run as a precaution.

‘Dagmar’, believed to be the third-largest storm recorded in Norway for 50 years, hit the country, Sunday. with wind speeds as high as 125 mph (201 kmh).
