High levels of shark activity in CapeTown

Cape Town authorities have issued another warning of high shark activity along the False Bay coast with four sightings on Saturday.

Three of the sightings occurred at St James while another was reported at Muizenberg Beach.

Shark Spotters have hoisted the red shark warning flags at these beaches as well as Kalk Bay and Fish Hoek.

The City of Cape Town’s Gregg Oelofse said the shark alerts will remain in place.

“The shark spotters have picked up a lot of activity along the coast. Due to the high levels of activity we have issued a general caution across the entire False Bay…That caution will remain in place until further notice,” he said.
